On my way back. What a whirlwind 48 hours. Thanks the greatest city in the world for the warm welcome as always. Can’t wait to be back in March! Go birds! #FlyEaglesFly #ItsAPhillyThing

@drewBbalis First thing I noticed, he was wincing a lot… his last few starts have been shaky as well… something’s not right. Now that Keller is coming on again and Kerk looks solid, maybe put him back on the IL.

@coachcups @NFL_DovKleiman Right so a smaller MetLife as I said. My point is it lacks any differentiating architectural features…

𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: A Bills construction worker posted a behind-the-scenes video of the new Highmark Stadium being built. • $2.1 billion cost • 1.35 million square feet • 60,000-seat capacity • Real heated snow-melting grass One of the nicest stadiums we have ever seen.

He was the most ‘bleh’ manager of my childhood, between Fragosi chain-smoking darts, the intensity of Bowa, and Charlie almost fighting Eskin, Terry represents the era of Phillies steady-state mediocrity that set-in before the bank was built… still wild to think he was the manager that broke the curse of the bambino.

The idea of Terry Francona having been the Phillies manager is how I imagine college students now view Andy Reid as having been the Eagles head coach You know it happened. You remember few things But the concept still feels crazy

Bryce Harper entered today with a .916 OPS, which ranked 14th out of 169 qualified hitters. He hits a solo homer against Paul Skenes in the sixth.

I do agree with Zach here, I’d rather have the option to watch an nfl game or not on a random evening in the fall… even the international games are nice as they allow you to have something interesting on during Sunday morning breakfast; my guess is we’ll see more Friday night games in the years ahead as well.

@FanSince09 @SpikeEskin Im on the fence about buying a package for next season and 85% of the pitch I keep getting from the account rep is this exact point: ‘sell a few of the big games and they pay for themselves!’

@SpikeEskin I’d blame the “everything is gambling” culture as well. Season tickets are just an investment and you’re betting on being able to get 2-3x value back by selling the games against knicks, lakers etc.

I don't understand what people find so complicated about why there are so many Knicks fans there. The Sixers are down 3-0, haven't been past the 2nd round this entire era. Because of secondary markets, even if you sold Sixers fans cheap tickets they'd resell them to Knicks fans at much higher prices. Knicks fans are more willing to spend money on the tickets than Sixers fans, which makes sense to me. Not defending the secondary market stuff, which is a whole other issue and has turned season ticket holders largely into ticket brokers to afford it. It just sort of is what it is. I don't blame Sixers fans, I don't think it makes you a bigger tougher fan to spend money on a product you don't believe it. I don't blame Sixers players for hating it.

Should have been a sweep but regardless, that’s a series win. 4th straight series win by the way. Looking more and more like last year’s team. Who let the Phils get hot??

I’ve lived and worked in Barcelona, Copenhagen, and Amsterdam (some of the best cities in Europe), and now am also a ‘suburbanite’ so I’d consider myself qualified to comment here. Philly is a fantastic city, it’s walkable, has water fronts, beautiful architecture, historic buildings, great food/restaurants, and unique neighborhoods. All cities have bad neighborhoods and a bit of griminess (that’s what makes them cities). Is it perfect, no, but it’s right up there with other mid-sized cities and in the past 20 years has had a renaissance that you’re missing out on if you’re too fussed with steam tunnels emitting a smell.

I’m not trying to shit on the city I love, it makes me very sad such that I do not want to even go to dinner downtown anymore. Just walking down a block you feel like you need a shower.

As a lifelong suburbanite: Philly has amazing food hilarious people and a great personality. All of those great things are wrapped up in a city that is covered in actual poop, needles, trash, bones, shady bums, etc. The city is unrecognizable to me from even just 10 yrs ago
Paulstradamus@small215

The “Philly is trash” jokes don’t hit the same anymore. Anyone that’s actual lives here, or comes to visit/explore would tell you that
