In these messages, they mentioned that one individual would be paid R500,000 for carrying out the job. Mabusela sent Kekana a photo of Jerry Boshoga, saying, “That’s the guy.” Kekana and Mabusela were also arrested alongside Cat Matlala in connection with the attempted murder of Tebogo Thobenjane. They are further linked to the murder case involving Katiso Molefe, which includes the killings of DJ Sumbody and Armand Swart.

William Mbatha known as Mashobane kaMangethe . A convicted criminal often referred to as Mashobane or the “King of Bling”. He was sentenced to 123 years in prison in 2012 for crimes including robbery, kidnapping, and impersonating a police official. In late 2024, he made headlines when he was denied permission to attend the funeral of his father, the legendary footballer Lucas “Masterpieces”Moripe, because he was classified as a high risk prisoner. There were also reports in late 2025 regarding a potential parole release after over a decade in jail.
