Saw my surgeon today, and I found out I'm going to need another major surgery. During my endoscopy, she found a wad of eroded mesh in my intestines that's causing a blockage and the pain I have every time I try to eat. She told me I could lose most, if not all, of my stomach. If the surgery can be done robotically, it could take 6 to 8 hours. If they have to do it as an open surgery, it could take up to 12 hours. This is a very complicated surgery with a lot of risks, but if everything goes as planned, it should eventually eliminate the need for my feeding tube. I'll only need the tube for a short time afterward while they make sure I can eat properly. I'm definitely scared of what's ahead, but after everything I've been through with this tube, I'm also hopeful. Please keep me in your prayers as I prepare for this next chapter. 🤍
