UM... who is using the food. Nothing to see here. Known as the Black Sea Grain Initiative, the agreement reached last July 2022, allowed for international shipments of corn, wheat, barley and other food products from three designated ports in Ukraine, which has been nicknamed the "breadbasket of Europe." Where do Ukraine's food exports go? The UN says that of all the food products Ukraine has exported under the grain deal: 47% have gone to "high-income countries" including Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. 26% have gone to "upper-middle income countries" such as Turkey and China. Russia has repeatedly complained that the deal largely benefits richer nations.

Russia’s refusal to extend the Black Sea Grain Initiative harms millions of hungry people around the world. Using food as a weapon is unconscionable. We urge Russia to reverse course.

@Deborah07849071 @SecBlinken on the ships in the grain deal that brought Ukraine money, and on the ships that came back loaded with weapons. Most of the wheat fields in the territory of Ukraine are owned by a number of private XX corporations. If grain prices go up, who will benefit?
