I don’t normally get overly personal on this app (I know most of you are just here for the Vegas content), but I’m kind of proud of this and figured I’d humble brag for a minute.
Kind of as a joke, I signed up for the then-new online JD program at the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii. Fast forward three years and change, and it just dawned on me this morning that if everything goes well this upcoming semester, I’m actually going to graduate.
Holy shit. Just typing that feels unreal...

@toastcmu @seventensuited Oh that’s interesting (and preferable). Was the minimum listed as $5 or $7? That’s the reason why it caught my eye.

Okay, so I was wrong about the only $5 blackjack on the Las Vegas Strip.
Luxor has a $5 blackjack table, and like Excalibur, it pays 6:5 instead of 3:2.
New York New York has one as well, but isn’t really advertised, at least not when I have passed through.
Both Luxor and NYNY offer 3:2 blackjack spread at the $15 and $25 denominations.

If you are looking for $5 blackjack on the Las Vegas Strip, you can find it at Excalibur. Just keep in mind it pays 6:5, not the more player-friendly 3:2. Excalibur does have 3:2 blackjack, just not at the $5 limit. If you’re willing to spend a little more, there are plenty of properties offering $10 blackjack tables too.

@ismebsb @seventensuited I played this week and they didn’t make me make any side bets. Was surprised to see it in NYNY
English

@seventensuited Whenever I have seen the one at NYNY, it is listed as a $7 minimum because it requires two mandatory $1 side bets.

Now that I’ve got my page back, I have kind of a fun announcement to make… Remember back a couple weeks ago when I said I would be traveling to Las Vegas on July 11? This trip wasn’t actually a vacation, so you didn’t miss much of it by my lack of having X. I actually moved to Las Vegas permanently and am now officially a resident! I’ve been meaning to make this move for several years, and it just made sense to do it now.
I am looking forward to bringing you the most up-to-date Vegas casino info, as well as of course my normal casino trips elsewhere in the country. Here is to new beginnings in my new home here in the Las Vegas Valley. I’m sure I will cross paths with some of you when you’re out here. Really looking forward to being here forever!🎰
