It's almost a shame that Ripley was told what he was told, because he wanted to punch that guy so fucking badly and it would've gone so poorly for him

some notes; W/ all his theming, I had intentions of Ripley struggling with Cotard's, but I backtracked due to concerns of this ending in NVL. His preoccupation w/ death/feeling dead survived in the form of an obsession, but maybe it'll return after a near-death experience :)
