🚑 We’re training more paramedics closer to home.🏠 Our government is creating 32 new Primary Care Paramedic training seats at Assiniboine College through a new rotating rural model starting in Dauphin. The goal is simple: get more people into the parts of the health-care system where we need them most. People have families. They have responsibilities at home. So instead of asking Manitobans to leave their communities to train in larger hubs, we’re bringing training closer to where people are. More paramedics. Better health care.

The Ford government says it is addressing capacity pressures inside hospitals, even as a new report finds a sharp spike in ER wait times is putting patients at risk. The majority of hospitals are also forecasting budget deficits. We ask the health minister about the findings:
