Syndicates! This is the next big thing we're working on. Syndicates revolve around a Syndicate Lead who informs their community of co-investors about startup investments, offering them the chance to invest alongside them. These syndicates can be open to anyone or operate as private investment clubs. In return, the syndicate lead receives a carry fee upon successful exits. For investors or aspiring angels, this significantly lowers the bar: they get access to quality deal flow without having to run due diligence on every startup themselves. On Tuesday we attended the fundraising event hosted by our partner Gruendungswerft in the northern city of Stralsund! It was great not to be on the fundraising panel this time, but instead to see how Gründungswerft is building a strong startup ecosystem in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Some people say nothing is happening in the startup scene north of Berlin – this event proved them wrong. Investors? Yes. Successful startups that have raised multiple millions of euros? Several. The best part: we already have a startup from their ecosystem fundraising with us! EINO World GmbH is developing an operating platform for knowledge transfer within companies. We now support Cap & Discounts – in a way that is better than a convertible! Startups can now structure investments with a valuation cap directly on our platform. This is especially useful for very early-stage startups that do not yet want to commit to a fixed valuation but still want to offer investors a fair entry. Investors receive their virtual shares directly based on the agreed cap. The cap acts as a valuation ceiling – meaning the investment is calculated as if the company were valued at that maximum level. The setup is integrated into the Private Offer flow. When creating an offer, you can simply upload an accompanying letter that defines the individual terms such as cap and, if applicable, a discount. We also provide a suitable template to make this easy. If a discount has been agreed, a future financing round can determine whether the investor should receive additional virtual shares. This can be handled cleanly through another Private Offer using the toggle “payment already made”. This combines the flexibility of early convertible structures with a direct and structured investment process – fully digital and without notary appointments.

The German startup ecosystem has a new record – and it’s one worth celebrating: In 2025, a total of 3,568 new startups were founded. That’s an impressive year-over-year increase of 29%. Among all German regions, Bavaria stands out with the strongest growth at 46%. There’s also a second headline worth celebrating: bankruptcies are down by 11%.
