A mobile cervical screening unit is coming to Kirklees! To help make cervical screening a bit easier to access, a mobile screening unit will be visiting community locations across Kirklees over the coming weeks. If you’re 25–64 and have a cervix, you’re welcome to pop along

Norovirus cases are rising. It’s a stomach bug that causes diarrhoea and vomiting. The virus can spread very easily, but washing your hands frequently with soap and water is the best way to stop it spreading. If you catch norovirus, make sure you know how to treat it.

While your GP surgery may be closed tomorrow, there is a local GP service available. Contact 111 who can book you an appointment to see a local GP this Bank holiday.

Remember that other people, such as older neighbours, friends and family members, may need some extra help over the winter. Things like ensuring they are warm and that they have the medications they need ahead of cold weather and any holiday period.

New Year’s Eve is one of the busiest nights of the year for ambulance services across the country. As we welcome in the New Year, let’s celebrate safely and help ensure emergency services are available when needed 💙
