@finebaum No it won’t ruin it. Teams will still play to win For these reasons.
they will play to make sure the qualify for a spot.
they will play for seeding
they will play for a chance for a home playoff game.
a good team won’t miss if they lose early.
less opt outs for bowl games.

@flatland_sports Does anyone really believe if they have a 24 team playoff that the regular season would be meaningless and teams wouldn’t try in some games and sit guys in some games and just take some losses? First of all if you are a 3 or 4 loss team you aren’t guaranteed to be in it.
English

The regular season is only worthless if you're a casual.

“Why don’t we just make College Football like all the other sports????? Why can’t College Football have a worthless regular season too????? Other sports do it!!!!” The expansionist’s only thought.
English

@CathVSConf Yes and there was the blatant missed holding call on the game winning touchdown.
English

There's MANY reasons why we lost this game and missed the Playoffs, but this play (might) have hurt us the most.

@CFBGuy999 As a big college football fan this is what everyone wants to see games and matchups like this. Say what you want about conference play but there are way too many mismatches every year than games of interest for the common football fan.
English

@PghJarron Does anyone really think they can win the Super Bowl with Rodgers and this team? If the honest answer is no then I don’t want Rodgers. If everybody is satisfied with making the playoffs and possibly winning one game then your standards are lowered.

ONE WORD: Use ONE WORD to describe the #Steelers bringing back QB Aaron Rodgers.

@KTSmithFootball I absolutely hate saying about great mentor. Howard was mentored last year. You have to eventually play these guys and see what you have and see if you need to draft another QB next year in a supposedly loaded draft.
English

@CollegeFBonX If you go to 16 teams and have no byes that would be perfect and the most fair and it wouldn’t ruin the regular season and it would give the top 8 teams home playoff games in the opening round. What’s the downside to this? Plus you can still let non power 4 teams in.
English

@westillgot6 @lukesawhook So Howard learned from Rodgers all last year. So if you don’t want to stick a 6th round pick into the fire in year two what happens next year they look for another 43 year old QB because the QB’s You draft you are never going to see what they can do carrying a clipboard.
English

@lukesawhook You wanna either throw a 6th rd pick into the fire after spending much of last year on IR, or throw a 3rd rd pick into the fire after he's being completely reset as a QB? I'd rather let them learn from a top 5 QB of all time. Some of our fans are complete morons…
English

According to the comments I’m not allowed to be annoyed with Rodgers returning while also being a fan of the Steelers
This objectively sets our team back another year in the hunt for our next franchise QB
Luke Sawhook 🪚🪝@lukesawhook
I DONT WANT ANOTHER YEAR OF AARON RODGERS BRO
English

@BaddestBearJew No it’s not the best thing for them or the team. They won’t play so the Steelers won’t know if they can play or not. next years draft is a loaded QB draft so the Steelers will draft Another QB and then they will have 3 with no experience. This puts this team back a few years.
