California could end up with two Republicans on the November ballot for governor. Not because Republicans are surging. Because Democrats are splitting the vote. Here's the problem and the fix: mercurynews.com/2026/03/06/opi…🧵

57 of California's 58 counties already have the equipment to run RCV, and a bunch of California cities use the method. calrcv.org/post/californi… We don't have to rebuild anything. We just have to update the rules. #CaliforniaGovernor #RankedChoiceVoting #CA2026 #CalPolitics

"If it’s true the middle 80% is horrified by the extremes and the nastiness... it’s so important to get electoral reform that incentives politicians to appeal to moderates, rather than picking a side and trying to make it angry." Like #RankedChoiceVoting.

Thanks @kevinmullin for having voted for #SB212 in 2019 by @BenAllenCA to allow #RankedChoiceVoting to expand! Please vote NO on #AB2808 which would do the opposite - stripping RCV away from SF, Oakland, Berkeley, & other cities whose voters adopted it.

Californians have voted to use ranked choice voting in local governments collectively representing more than one million people. #AB2808 would ban RCV and override the ability of local voters to adopt pro-democracy reforms. @ChadMayes please vote No on #AB2808.

Ranked choice voting can be a great way to make sure every vote counts and ensure democracy. #AB2808 wants to ban RVC in CA, including places it's already being used. Use this link to urge your assemblymember to oppose AB 2808 p2a.co/hxHySPP

Thanks @ChadMayes for having voted for #SB212 in 2019 by @BenAllenCA to give local jurisdictions control to choose #RankedChoiceVoting if they want! Please vote NO on #AB2808 which would do the opposite, even for charter cities.

#AB2808 would strip away #RankedChoiceVoting in California, a pro-democracy reform adopted overwhelmingly by the voters in Oakland, San Francisco, Berkeley, and other cities. @ib2_real, please vote NO on AB 2808.
