@stefen_rosner Likelihood of seeing him on the island during next season? I know development is key, but there’s no way Boqvist/Soucy were ever better players
Kashawn Aitcheson's dominant final OHL season has come to an end.
After a 70-point regular season (28G, 42A), the 2025 17th overall pick recorded 27 points (8G, 19A) in 19 playoff games.
He now turns pro.

#Isles Tuesday lines are brought to you by @bullsmithli (no Cizikas):
Lee-Horvat-Holmstrom
Schenn-Barzal-Ritchie
Shabanov-Pageau-Heineman
Palat-MacLean-Gatcomb
E: Duclair
Schaefer-Pulock
Pelech-Soucy
George-Mayfield
E: Romanov-Boqvist
Sorokin
Rittich
7-3 now with 12:06 to go in the third. Rakell.
Sorokin is coming out. Likely starts tomorrow vs. #Sabrehood.
Like MTL game.
Sorokin did what he could. Officially allows seven goals on 29 shots, but this is on the team in front of him.
@bryshark11@philzfactz He is rarely on PP1. Pretty sure it was recent due to Barzal immediately coming off a shift. This doesn’t take away from holmstrom, he’s been solid, but he is not a top 2 forward on this team
@philzfactz Barzal is not the second best forward. Can’t win a faceoff, doesnt play defense, doesn’t play the penalty kill, doesn’t even play on the number 1 power play.
@stefen_rosner The atrocious play since the Olympic break should be an indication to sell at the deadline. Do not “reward” a team that’s mailing it in the last week or so
Rittich allows another questionable one. Palat keeps Bennett to his backhand, but the shot beats Rittich under the blocker-side arm, and it's 3-2 FLA with 7:56 to go in the second. #Isles
Roy on Duclair, who sat final two periods:
“It was an important game. Duke will be fine. I mean, I did not like the tracking, and that's all. I mean, it's nothing more than that.”

@NYIslanders I'm still not over that bullcrap loss because the Islanders ruined Matthews' milestone night by making the Leafs blow it.
Matthews had surpassed Matt Sundin's scoring record at 421 goals until Matthew Schaefer and the Islanders ruined it. It was not a good game at all
