Re all the dishonest liberal pundits spouting off numbers about the Virginia vote total on redistricting:
1.605 million -- YES
1.499 million -- NO
2.771 million -- YES
1.447 million -- NO
The first vote was on the 10-1 map.
The second vote was on the Amendment to the Virginia Constitution in 2020 banning partisan gerrymandering in the drawing of congressional maps.
Where was democracy most ignored?

🧵 THREAD: You've heard the phrase "OUR DEMOCRACY" a million times. But what exactly is "OUR DEMOCRACY"? 🤔
When they say "democracy," they don't mean a republic. They don't mean consent of the governed. They don't mean your right to choose your own leaders.
They mean a system where "institutions" - NGOs, multilaterals, the permanent bureaucracy - advance a set of values they consider settled: equality, social justice, cosmopolitanism, global governance. These values aren't proposals to be voted on. They're treated as moral prerequisites that must be true *before* your vote counts.
Despite what they say, they aren't for checks and balances. Checks and balances limit what government can do to you. This limits what you can do to *them*. The brakes are on accountability, not power. The institutions that set the boundaries of acceptable policy have put themselves beyond the reach of the electorate, and they call that arrangement "democracy."
Trump has been an existential threat to this system since the moment he said "drain the swamp" ... because the swamp IS the system. When he threatened those institutions, he didn't threaten the republic. He threatened their immunity from it.
And they said so. On camera. At their own events. In their own words.
As always, patience as I pull together the thread.👇

The power of Marxism is derived from fostering hate between demographic groups.
Early on, Marxists talked about the economic “class struggle,” but the upward mobility of the middle class in capitalism made that a hard sell in the USA.
So somewhere around the 1950s-60s the Marxists figured out that hate is more easily fostered between demographic groups when you take “class” out of the equation and substitute race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, etc.
Classes of victims became essential to the success of U.S. Marxists (called “Democrats” in the USA).
To have classes of victims, one also needs classes of overlords, real or imagined.
Enter the boogeyman of “White Supremacy.”
The Southern Poverty Law Center has been at the forefront of this fight for 40 years, ensuring that the illusion of a class of overlords was perpetuated throughout the land and across government policies. When they could not find the hate they needed, they paid to create it.
Their playbook is hate = power.
But now they got caught red handed. Good.

@shipwreckedcrew In the same speech, within seconds, he touts one president ignoring the Constitution and then complains that Trump is ignoring it. SMH

"Treat it as such...."
How exactly?
Sedition much?
Graham Platner for Senate@grahamformaine
We can't treat this Supreme Court as a functional constitutional body acting in good faith. It's a corrupt, far-right, partisan court, and we have to treat it as such. (And both Alito and Thomas should be impeached.)

@shipwreckedcrew I bet he believes the World Series s/b decided by the team that scores the most runs in the series and not the most games

Then you become a nation of "city states."
US not designed as such.

Hillary Clinton beat Trump by nearly 3M votes, but because of the fucking electoral college Trump won. Scrap the damn electoral college - because every vote should carry the same weight.
