A Public Confession. I appealled to a sister of mine for financial help. She sent me 5m. Then I went to bless a building project for someone I also take as father, he sent 500k for fuel after the exercise. I was thrilled, excited and visibly happy. I felt it was too much because I didn't use fuel of 5k for the entire journey. I was honestly and sincerely grateful to my sister who dashed me a whooping 5m but wasn't excited or happy that much, but here was i literally jumping to high heavens for 500k. When I settled down, I reflected on the whole thing. Why wasn't I as happy or as excited with 5M as I was with 500k? Logically, I should be more excited and happier with 5M than 500k. It wasn't ingratitude. I expressed my heartfelt gratitude to my sister and I truly was grateful. So it wasn't ingratitude, ingratitude is an attitude, excitement is a feeling, The answer is EXPECTATION. I EXPECTED more from my sister and had little or no Expectation from the man that gave me 500k. Notice that I didn't do nothing for my sister, she owes me nothing. I did something for the man and he owes me appreciation, no matter the form it comes. Yet the discrepancy in feeling happened. Expectations lead to entitlement and both are cancers. Many of us are like that. Many are like me in many ways, even in our relationship with God, that's why I want to share this with you. Feelings are true but not the truth. How I feel is true, but how I feel is not the truth. We must learn to subject our feelings to analysis and reflections. Here are some advices: 1. Make your expectations realistic. I won't say reduce them or increase them. The cliche is "reduce your expectations" and that's fine by me still. Do not have expectations from things beyond your own control. Expectations lead to entitlement, both horizontally( while dealing with earthly beings) and vertically(dealing with God). It is the cause of anger, frustrations, ingratitude, disillusionment and delusions. 2. Faith is not expectations and vice versa. I have been saying this for some time and hopefully some day y'all will grasp it. Let's take a look at Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego(S.M.A)before the fiery furnace. They had faith but not expectation. If they had expectation, they would have said "God will definitely and unfailingly save us from your fire, we serve the living God". And everything in their mind would be that God will save them from the fire. The opposite outcome will be totally unthinkable, unacceptable and irreconcilable with their concept of God, it will be an intractable dilemma, an evil to be avoided by all means. That's expectation. When that opposite happens, those who think Iike them will be in dilemma and totally bamboozled if not dejected. But notice that S,M and A didn't pray for deliverance, they had faith not expectation. They said: "we know that God can save us, but even if he will not, we will not bow down to your idol". That's the confession of faith. Think same of Daniel before he was thrown into the lions den. Then think of Stephen as he was stoned to death. Peter in the prison. Paul and Silas in the dungeon. They all had faith in God and not expectations. When Habb 2:4 says: "the righteous shall live by faith", this is it. That's same thing as Jesus saying man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. There is a subtle replacement of Faith with expectations among believers today. Can someone receive a miracle without expectations? Yes. Can someone fail to receive a miracle even with expectations? Most certainly yes, that is exactly the fate of the miracle seekers today, they don't get nothing, what their prophets do is heighten their expectations all the time and they get addicted to it. Those who break lose eventually become disillusioned or rebels against the Faith they once proclaimed. Can we have faith without expectations and vice versa? Absolutely yes.

Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful wife of 28 years and the best mom our six children could ever ask for. Christie is my person, the backbone of our family, and she has raised some great kids. I don’t know how she’s stayed with me all these years, but I’m grateful she puts up with me. God is good.

Where are all our Nigerian brothers and sisters? Post your experiences. I have spoken to many about the atrocities. Many conversations were face to face. Your strory must be told by you. Not by a Muslim Brotherhood supporter like @mehdirhasan

Honoring the Life and Legacy of Joni Lamb Yesterday, Joni Lamb was promoted to glory. Joni had remained private about the physical struggles she was experiencing in recent months, but a fall aggravated the problems, and on May 7, Joni got to see Jesus face to face. She is more alive than ever, and I’m sure she is rejoicing like never before. The Daystar Television Network released a statement that Joni had plans in place for the continuation of the network, so it will continue its mission of broadcasting the Gospel all over the world. Joni was a friend to Jamie and me. She often told me that she prayed for my boys daily. I’ve been privileged to be one of the broadcasters on Daystar since 2002. Joni ministered at Charis Bible College and visited with us in our home. She will be missed, but the seeds she has planted will continue to grow in the lives of multiplied millions all over the world. Please pray that the transition will go smoothly, and that the Lord will comfort all those who were close to Joni and give them wisdom about how to continue the wonderful ministry that Marcus and Joni birthed. I pray this serves as a wake-up call and reminder that each of us is just passing through this life. Joni made her life count. She has great rewards in heaven. We need to redeem the time and make sure we are putting first the kingdom of God. It’s only what is done for the glory of God that will last into eternity. Andrew Wommack

This was my first visit to Nigeria in 2010. Owerri. I was with the man who would become my beloved mentor, the late, great Prof. John Ofoegbu. A real earth shaker, the most Christlike man I ever met. I traveled through Nigeria with him many times -- mainly the Delta/Biafra region. Most of my 16 trips over the years have been in and through that region. Aba, Port Harcourt, Umuahia, so many points in between and all around there. I have taken other Americans there too. The people, food, music, worship ... that is where I feel is my second home. I consider Owerri my Nigerian hometown. I have sat with many Biafran War veterans and survivors over the years and heard their stories. They are burned into my heart. I have been deeply honored to carry the title Eze Okechukwunenye for years before I became a public figure in Nigeria. I have many friends across Nigeria, from many tribes. Two of the men I today hold in the highest esteem are Fulani and Hausa -- Isa el Buba and Dr. Panam Percy Paul. All tribes have good people and bad people. We can love all, learn from all, and stand together with them for the bigger cause of universal freedom and human rights. For the Kingdom. Tribe should never be a cause for division, but celebration. Tribe is family, not a fight. In Christ there is but one tribe -- the Tribe of the Lion of Judah. That said -- while I'm not Igbo by blood, I am Igbo by adoption, and by choice. They are an amazing people, and I carry this identity with pride. #EarthShaker

The Life and Legacy of Joni Lamb …Pastor Benny Hinn Joins Leaders Worldwide to Honor Her Talented Voice and Visionary Leadership to the Body of Christ Today, the Body of Christ pauses to honor my dear friend Joni Lamb, a woman of unwavering faith and remarkable dedication to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Joni was known around the world as the co-founder of Daystar Television Network alongside her beloved late husband, Marcus Lamb. The flagship station, KMPX-TV in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, was founded in 1993. To countless people Marcus and Joni were much more than broadcasters or ministry leaders. They were devoted to bringing hope, healing, encouragement, and the message of salvation to millions across the nations. Following the passing of Marcus in 2021, Joni carried forward the vision they built together with strength, grace, and determination. Through difficult seasons and enormous responsibility, she remained steadfast in her commitment to Christian television and the proclamation of the Gospel. Her leadership helped Daystar continue reaching homes around the world with biblical teaching, worship, prayer, and the message of Jesus Christ.
