Great to see Trenchbroom being used in more Godot projects for level design. Such an underrated tool 🔥 @tinto_gamedev is using it to build levels for his adventure game inspired by Quake and Zelda. What a combo!

I started working on a level for the demo last night. So far so good! Takes time, but it's fun. It made me wonder, what tools do my fellow devs use for planning the level layout beforegrey boxing? So far I've been using Aseprite but I wonder if there are better alternatives. 😅

@tomeaves_dev Game's sort of an adventure game with a lot of dungeons and such. As a big fan of games like Zelda, DOOM and Quake I'm trying to do a similar approach to level design. Basically little mazes with keys to find and secrets to uncover. :)

@tomeaves_dev Haha you are too kind! :D And yeah I'm mainly a programmer, been at it for 10 years now. I started working on this game exactly one year ago and after implementing all the core mechanics I'm finally at the point of making levels and content. 😅

I hear that. I haven’t used Trenchbroom in a commercial project yet, but I’ve played around with it in some personal projects. I’m primarily a programmer so I was amazed how easy it makes 3D modelling and level design. Your level looks like it’s been built by a pro level designer! Are you primarily a programmer too?
