The SNP are delighted tonight with Malcolm Offord’s claim Labour offered him a pact. If the energy of the SNP spin machine tonight could be harnessed it could power the whole of Scotland for the rest of the year

Jokes aside, that’s a serious claim from Offord about Sarwar asking him to “work together to remove the SNP.” If Offord is lying then that’s resignation worthy from someone wanting to be FM. If by any chance it holds up, Sarwar won’t last long as Scottish Labour leader.

I asked Anas Sarwar if he would push against letting the US military use Scottish airports in operations against Iran. Sarwar: “No UK facility, no Scottish facility should be used for offensive purposes in what is an illegal action taken by Benjamin Netanyahu and Donald Trump.”

I unfortunately was unable to follow up and ask what Sarwar defined as “offensive purposes.”
