The Wizards trading for Trae Young + AD and benching them both for the rest of the season is a blatant sign that the NBA Lottery system has failed to stop tanking.

Jones is at 57/46/91 shooting splits, a 2.5 BPM (he's negative for his career) and a ton of clutch plays in recent games. Collins is shooting almost 70% on 2-pointers, tied a career high for 3-pointers last night, has a 1.7 BPM (-1.5 for his career).

Everybody knows Giddey is playing best ball of his career right now (though as noted he's had big months around this time before), BUT did you know that both Tre Jones and Zach Collins are also playing at career-best levels with Bulls? Fun with small sample sizes!

More on guard glut: Multiple teams are under impression Bulls want to keep Ayo Dosunmu.(Not saying they don’t want to keep others. Just have heard from several teams specifically about Ayo) Also, not only is Tre Jones poised to survive deadline but could stick beyond his expiring

Snap judgement is this return sucks, the Bulls should have been bad enough to keep their pick the next two seasons regardless. I have to believe LaVine's market would have been greater in the summer. This is absolutely ending with the Bulls getting the No. 7 pick again.

One of the most notables details about the Caruso trade is they now can't attach him to dump LaVine
Giddey deal doesn't give them any financial flexibility. Still need to move off Zach and they just severely limited their avenues to do so

@Bulls_Jay My concern is he is still chasing those early lonzo days, and thinking, all we needed was a lonzo replacement and we’re back to the number one seed baby. I hope to god I’m wrong, but there is definitely reason to be concerned.

I do kinda think this signals a DeMar exit? Making this trade and keeping DeMar with Giddey on an expiring makes little sense

Giddey isn’t as bad as he was to close the year and if it leads to the Bulls just totally blowing it up it’s a bit easier to stomach but it’s horrendous asset management by the Bulls given Caruso’s value, Giddey is 1 year from FA and at a low point, plus the off-court weirdness.

The Bulls waited too long to trade a veteran player—shocker—so they didn’t get any picks back…. But Josh Giddey is 21 and they are admitting Chicago is a rebuilding franchise….. I think I’m OK with the deal all things considered?
