@kriv0ruchka is that the one that bought you that sketchbook? 😭 put her to work so we can have more golden nuggets like icebox alphonse>:3
English

@tomocookiez lmao i’m shocked everyone likes the art of alphonse in the icebox! thank you so much!! honestly that was a request from my best friend. i think if she keeps learning to draw she’ll become mega-popular… she just has golden ideas….
English

lmao people are so offended that they can’t trace 😭😭 they can’t draw anything without tracing, not even a basic pose, so the rule is fine, you just don’t want to learn

> this includes artwork traced from photograhs you have taken and f2u csp 3D models whatever artfight
English

@kriv0ruchka UWAAA 🥺 omg.. im so flattered right now 😭 thank you so much, it means a lot:,) it took me so long to gain confidence enough to post, because i was not drawing as a child like some people were out the womb LOLL
i LOVE ur work, especially icebox alphonse 🤤 #neverforget
English

@tomocookiez yeah, we’re all in the same boat 😭 but tbh your work is at a pretty high level in my opinion… i’d recognize your style out of a thousand… u're doing great <3
English

@kriv0ruchka hehe dont worry girlpop i just love to talk!:3
i tend to pop in when the subject interests me, but i have a softspot when it comes to beginner artist topics because i resonate a lot with them as i was fighting for my life on the internet as one not too long ago 😭
English

@tomocookiez anyway, i think we all have a bigger enemy as artists (ai) imao. i’m glad you understood me… i’m a bit scared to argue online because i’m afraid someone will take my words as malice but we’re just debating 😭😭
English

@kriv0ruchka I see! not trying to change ur opinion but rather open more perspectives. I try to post my art on social media semi-consistently and i consider art just a fun hobby of mine.
i agree it becomes a bit more when the artist is taking comissions regularly 🤗
English

@tomocookiez i think if someone’s making a content plan for social media and creating images according to that plan, then it’s not just a fun hobby anymore… and if drawing isn’t a skill competition, then why trace at all? every piece of art is valuable on its own and if someone draws from ->

@kriv0ruchka @KimbleeFucker i'd say some artists that arent tracing for learning are doing it because time is valuable.
many artists have posting schedules they have to keep up with + fulltime job + school and sometimes kids. art can be fun hobby, not a skill competition
so i wouldnt call it 'cheating'
English

@KimbleeFucker @tomocookiez i understand why many ppl defend tracing but for me personally this topic is a sticking point. i just don’t get why an artist would use tracing if they’re not making something for learning. i know this sounds radical from my side. i don’t really care how anyone draws as long ->

English

@kriv0ruchka beginner artists that are already being shunned away by elitists who only want to be attacked by experienced or professional artists. I really dislike the exclusionary culture - if youre not stealing art, then i don't see an issue.
Everybody learns differently!
English

@tomocookiez i think tracing is okay in cases where someone is working on a big project like a comic or animation, especially if they’re doing it solo. i just think ppl could use a 3d model as a reference rather than tracing over it - that’s some practice for drawing, unlike tracing
English

@kriv0ruchka yes! back in the day everyone passed around bases for animation memes like carameldansen, caipirinha, rolling girl, etc. on deviant art, meant to trace or draw ontop of
i do think tracing is practicing. i understand what artfight is trying to do but the rules are driving out (1)
