Net WAR for each team this offseason. Washington tops the list. 7 of the top 8 teams being Eastern Conference shows the crazy arms race this season. MIN, COL and OTT haven’t offset their talent loss with meaningful adds yet. STL really overrated their additions.

I’m still not sure what I think about this. Mostly because we’re still learning about how Mehta runs a team. I originally didn’t think there was any shot he’d run with a trio led by Daws. But now idk…. Other than Hellebuyck who’s even out there to get?

1. Saving money for Quinn in 27, knowing he wants to come
2. He doesn’t see a deal worth making to get them out of cap purgatory

Agreed. Easiest path with the least resistance and risk is Quinn plays out the current contract. When he becomes a UFA, sign with New Jersey and he can play with both brothers on the same team. Devils give up nothing. If this trend continues, Devils will have cap space to spend next season and now have draft capital with the Nemec trade. The three year deal with the Wild makes no sense for Quinn unless it’s a 8 year sign and trade deal to New Jersey. #NJDevils #MNWild

Remember. Per ESPN this was the last quote by Quinn on May 15th. Since then he has been in NJ with Jack and Luke with parents visiting. Everything since then has been reported by media or Wild and not directly from Quinn or his camp. I still say he re-signs with Wild but certainly makes it interesting he has said nothing since this… Jack has made it clear he’d rather have Quinn go to FA and join him and Luke as recently as April interview.
