The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Max are the first Soundcore earbuds seriously capable of challenging Bose, Sony, Samsung, and Apple to a duel. These flagship buds boast impressive AI features, powered by Soundcore’s proprietary AI chip, fantastic sound quality, and sweet battery life. However, the plasticky, cheap-looking finish doesn’t quite cut it for $229, which is the only thing holding these buds back.

POV: Ubisoft just made me want to replay one of the best Assassin’s Creed games ever ⚓️🏴‍☠️ I got hands-on with Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced for a previrw, and this could be the pirate comeback fans have been waiting for. Set during the golden age of piracy, you once again play as Edward Kenway sailing through the West Indies, but now with modern visuals, updated systems and a world that somehow feels even bigger 🏴‍☠️🌊 BUT… there’s one big question mark that can only be answered with time 👀 Are you planning to replay this version of Black Flag in 2026? 🤔

"The Mandalorian and Grogu" is undeniably one of the biggest movies of the summer. As the first "Star Wars" movie since 2019, it's undeniably one of the biggest movies of the year. So chances are that even with early reviews coming in mixed — Rotten Tomatoes has it a 60% fresh on the Tomatometer with over 130 reviews, and I gave it a 2.5 out of 5 stars in our official "The Mandalorian and Grogu" review — you're still going to go see it in theaters. Even if you don't, you'll almost certainly see it once it's eventually on Disney+. Naturally, you might want to know something about the movie before seeing it. There are no Skywalkers in this saga (well, not in this chapter), and there are plenty of new faces in the trailers we've seen so far. If you have never watched the three seasons of "The Mandalorian," chances are you don't know anyone in this movie besides Grogu, because how could you not know Baby Yoda? Luckily for you, I recently had a chance to sit down with someone who knows Baby Yoda intimately. Jonny Coyne, who some of you might know from any number of TV or movie roles (for me, it's as Allfather D'Aronique from the AMC comic book adaptation "Preacher"), is starring in "The Mandalorian and Grogu" as the mysterious Lord Janu, and he's now the latest villain in the Star Wars galaxy. Little is known about this Imperial remnant, whom we only saw briefly in holographic form in "The Mandalorian" season 3 as part of Moff Gideon's (Giancarlo Esposito) Shadow Council. This could be a big reason to pre-order the Fitbit Air 🤔 while you still can, get the extra band included because hey, you could always return it if it doesn't end up being the best fitness tracker for you.

I love Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and consider it a series highlight. However, I wasn’t exactly thrilled when Ubisoft announced a remake of this modern-day classic, given the slew of remakes we’ve seen this generation. Now, after having played nearly three hours of it at an event, I’m pleased to say that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is now one of my most anticipated games of 2026. Resync is a complete overhaul of the original game, now running on the same Anvil Engine as Assassin’s Creed: Shadows. Every asset has received a visual overhaul for modern gaming platforms, and it even adds new physics to make the world feel more immersive. Naturally, combat and traversal have also been updated to feel smoother. Beyond updating what existed, the game also features hours of new content. The best thing I can say about Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is that it looks and plays the way I remember, meaning that it captures the spirit of the original but is a wholly modern experience. It’s a game that reminds me why I fell in love with this franchise in the first place.

Oh, what a great time to be a sci-fi fan. Netflix’s new series “The Boroughs” is now streaming, and after hearing about it a couple of months back, I knew it was one I needed to watch. Having seen the entire first season already, I can confidently say I need more of this world on Netflix, because it turned out to be a gripping sci-fi adventure wrapped in a nostalgic sense of wonder you don’t see enough of on TV nowadays. Not only does “The Boroughs” come from executive producers the Duffer Brothers, the minds behind “Stranger Things,” but it also leans more into a Steven Spielberg-like feel. Instead of a retro period piece, it plays out as a fast-paced, modern-day adventure that embodies the witty energy of 1980s classics like “The Goonies.” The series also features a legendary lineup of veteran Hollywood actors playing the core group, including lead Alfred Molina. If you’re looking for just one series to binge-watch this weekend, I urge you to add “The Boroughs” to your Netflix watchlist.
