(1/2) Apple is famously late to all sorts of product categories. Remember MP3 players like the Creative Nomad before the iPod? Smartphones like the BlackBerry before the iPhone? Tablet PCs before the iPad? Apple sometimes takes several years before it decides to enter the market, and history looks to be repeating itself with the iPhone Fold, which could be called the iPhone Ultra. Yet Samsung and others have been making foldable phones since 2019 — this summer will see the release of the Galaxy Z Fold 8. So you would think that Samsung would handily beat Apple at creating the best foldable phone given all of the experience under its belt. After all, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in particular was a leap forward in terms of its super thin and light design. But the iPhone Fold could blow away the Galaxy Z Fold 8 on Apple’s very first try.

Crimson Desert is one of the most ambitious single-player open-world games ever. It throws a ton of deep systems at you with almost no hand-holding, but once it clicks, the combat feels fantastic, and exploration feels rewarding. There’s enough content here to keep you busy for months on end. The story is pretty average, and the beginning can be brutal, but if you’re the kind of person who loves big, sandbox adventures, this one is worth the ride (and $69).

Look! It's a pair of over-ear headphones. It's so good-looking. It sounds so great. It's... not JBL, Bose or Sony?! Over a year ago, I reviewed the JLab Epic Lux Lab Edition over-ear headphones. I awarded them a 4-star rating and Tom's Guide's Recommended award. When I was done reviewing them and they were sitting on my apartment's coffee table, my partner asked me if she could try them. Try them she did, and loved them as much as I did too (I'll stop speaking like Yoda now). The Epic Lux Lab Editions are some of the coolest-looking cans I've had the pleasure of reviewing — or testing, even. They don't look like just any other pair of headphones, and they're extremely comfortable too. What I love even more is the sound quality, which is powerful and refined, with punchy bass and clean treble. Long battery life and the highly effective ANC make these a winner, and even a year after having tested them, I still recommend them wholeheartedly.
