A $20-$30 ticket at a smallish venue is the move. I never charge for a meet and greet and I’m at that merch table till the last person goes home. I know tons of artists in American/ Folk that do the same. Come see us on tour

I notice that some retired relatives' lives no longer have a plot. Two years ago they had interesting careers and were well respected in their fields with the accompanying drama and now it's "well this afternoon we are going to buy shoes, the soles of my old ones wore out." .....

I know a lot of Americans who travel to Japan and are always saying how cheap it is. Yes, be grateful for using US dollars. I complain about coffee here in the US (Americano > $5, yes I get a giant one), but when I was in Kyushu in March, smaller size was 560 yen. Paid in dollars, everything is on sale there. A Japanese citizen’s buying power has been slowly stripped away since Covid.

なのに、給料だけは劇的には増えない。
