Fake Chinese Cops Wheeled Their Victim Out of a Sihanoukville Casino in a Suitcase A Chinese man was lured to the Singhao Pik casino in Sihanoukville last week by someone he thought was a friend. Four men met him on the first floor, told him they were Chinese police and that he was under arrest, cuffed his hands, tied his feet, and zipped him into a large black suitcase. They wheeled the suitcase out of the casino and into the first of three vehicles they had pre-staged to swap between, ending at a villa in Sangkat 4. Sihanoukville military police got the case after the kidnappers abandoned a white Lexus NX200T at Smach Daeng village on May 7. They pulled the car in and worked the lead from there. On the evening of May 9, a 10-officer team surrounded the villa. The suspects realized they were boxed in and tried to flee, and the victim, Huang Zewei, 31, took the opening and ran. He had wounds across his entire body. The crew had already extracted $50,000. Police arrested four. Three are Chinese (Lan Huai Min, Shi Yingya, Zheng Xiang Zhu) and one is a 24-year-old Cambodian driver. Seven pairs of handcuffs were recovered, along with a sharpened metal rod, a 2.5-meter steel pipe, pliers, rope, two knives, two radios, six phones, a bloodstained pillowcase used as a hood, and passports from China, Cambodia, and Laos. Authorities say seven or eight Chinese suspects were involved in total. At least one of them was the friend who set the meeting.
