Strong storms are moving through this evening and will continue overnight. Most counties are no longer under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch—only Perry County remains until 9 p.m.

We’re monitoring the potential for a strong to severe storm after 6 p.m. as storms move east from the west. Main threats: gusty winds and hail, mainly for our southern counties Areas north of I-20 could still see storms, but they are expected to remain below severe limits.

We’re tracking storms this evening. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has just been issued for the following counties: Marion, Winston, Lamar, Fayette, Walker, Pickens, Tuscaloosa, Greene, Hale, Bibb, Sumter, and Perry until 11 p.m. tonight.

We could see up to 2 inches of rain over the next 48 hours. Strong to severe storms are possible Tuesday morning and again Tuesday evening. We’ll be tracking conditions tonight on WBRC.
