I liked expanding the playoff from 4 to 12 because of a situation just like this year, where after Indiana you had a handful of teams (Ohio State, Georgia, Tech & Oregon along with A&M/Ole Miss) who all had legit claims. But that’s where it ends. All teams outside that group have no legitimate argument of “deserving” to be in, and are simply lucky to be included. I would’ve had Miami then Notre Dame with Bama being left out, but ultimately it’s irrelevant. This system was created to make sure that we didn’t have to choose only 3 of Ohio State/Georgia/Tech/Oregon/A&M/Ole Miss, and in that regard it works perfectly. Everyone else should just be happy to have been considered.

This part of the CFB Playoff seems incredibly straightforward… 1- Indiana 2/3- Georgia 3/2- Ohio State 4- Tech 5- Oregon 6- Ole Miss 7- A&M 8- Oklahoma 9- Miami 10- ??? 11- Tulane 12 James Madison The only legit debate left is Notre Dame vs Alabama at 10. I’d go Notre Dame.
