Why do so many business development people rush to send a 1,000 useless messages rather than focussing on doing some research and sending 100 really targeted emails that are much more likely to actually work.

@MikeTosetto If you feel winning a Lion could have a material impact on your business (new business, retention etc), then maybe consider sharing the cost with client, partner agencies etc. Otherwise, as below, lunch it is!

Looking up costs to enter Canne Lions... About $1000 euro per entry at this stage, which works out to around $1500 aud. Definitely an awards show that favours prosperous advertising agencies. Perhaps that's who it's for? Because studios like ours just can't afford those fees.
