These are international civilians, innocent of any crime, who have been illegally abducted in international waters by Israel. That’s what we’re looking at here.

If this is what they do to Westerners in public you can only imagine what is happening to Palestinians away from cameras in their prisons.

Memory crisis... When will it end ? 🤔
The ongoing memory shortage has become one of the biggest challenges for the smartphone industry and it’s affecting far more than just phones. Rising memory prices are forcing brands to increase smartphone prices, downgrade hardware or reduce overall value to keep devices somewhat affordable. Yet even that often isn’t enough. While some companies are genuinely struggling with production costs, others are clearly taking advantage of the situation and charging users far more than before.
🟠 When will it end ?
According to many industry insiders, memory prices may continue rising through 2027 and possibly even into 2028, making the situation especially difficult for mid-range and upper mid-range smartphones. Reports already suggest that smartphones could become even more expensive in the second half of 2026. Entry-level budget phones may slowly disappear, while Flagship devices could see massive price jumps due to expensive and latest technologies like 2nm chips, LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage.
To control costs, some brands may continue using 3nm chips for base Flagship models and reserve LPDDR6 and UFS 5.0 only for high-end variants like 16GB+1TB versions but even that may not fully solve the problem. Consumers are likely to stick with mid-range devices instead of paying 20–30% more for premium Flagships and manufacturers are aware of this. Some brands are already expected to reduce production of Pro and Ultra models while a few may even skip Ultra variants entirely this year.
🟠 What challenges are waiting ahead ?
This isn’t the first time the smartphone industry has gone through such problems. The smartphone industry has faced multiple crises before from the chip shortage during the COVID era to the sharp rise in 5G chipset costs and now the global memory crisis. Even if the current situation eventually stabilizes, new challenges will likely appear.
Future 6G development, expensive semiconductor manufacturing and rising component costs across the board could create another wave of price hikes in the coming years. It’s becoming clear that the industry may never fully return to the Pre-2020 era when smartphones improved rapidly without extreme price increases. Consumers will simply have to adapt to a market where technology keeps becoming more expensive.
If you currently need a phone, it may be better to buy one now rather than waiting endlessly for prices to normalize. On the other hand, if your current device can comfortably last another 2–3 years, holding onto it could be the smarter choice. Smartphone sales may slow down in late 2026 and 2027 but people will still continue buying phones because the industry itself depends on it. The only hope for consumers is that brands continue trying to deliver genuine value for money products despite the growing challenges ahead.
