@RpsAgainstTrump For some reason it’s even more offensive when you see that fat dump of a man waddle after them. The grossest people in our society have been armed and given the green light to act out their long held sick fantasies of torturing people who don’t look like them.

The sight of them reminds us of footage from similar events in fascist Germany in the 1930s. The next elections are about 9 months away and everything must be done to ensure that they are democratic and not like in Germany at the time or Russia today.

The Trump administration is disgusting! Yesterday, ICE raided a home on St. Paul’s East Side. Their target was ChongLy Scott Thao, an elderly Hmong American man. He’s a U.S. citizen with no criminal record. Armed ICE agents broke down the door without presenting a valid warrant, entered with guns drawn, and handcuffed him in front of his 5-year-old grandson, who was left crying and traumatized. This happened in sub-zero conditions, with wind chills near -30°F. Thao was dragged outside wearing only shorts, a blanket, and Crocs and marched through the snow. ICE then drove him around for nearly an hour, questioned and fingerprinted him, confirmed he was a citizen and not the person they were looking for… and dropped him back at home. No apology. No explanation. No accountability. Is this what you voted for?

A message from Oleg Carbo, resident of Kyiv: "Is it the hardest winter since February'22? It might as well be. It's cold and air-raids are frequent. It's mostly dark when it's dark, and you grow accustomed to this perpetual darkness somehow, the sound of power generators constantly working everywhere at once and the expectation of the next attack. Will it be tonight or tomorrow? How worse can it still get? How worse will the world allow it to get? When will it possibly be finally fed up with russia destroying our power grid and bragging about it on state media while simultaneously screaming "LOOK, UKRAINIANS ARE FASCISTS, THEY DON'T WANT PEACE!". (Spoiler from Ukrainian: never, unfortunately.) We carry on living, of course, and we carry on hoping, and none of us are surrendering any time soon, even though it big part the whole point of this attacks is to force Ukrainians to protest against our government, say "we're fed up with this war, we want peace at all costs" (ie capitulation and accepting the fate of being a russian colony like Belarus AT BEST). This always reaches a completely different reaction and response from Ukrainians, reassuring them they're right to stay united, resilient, patient and carry on fighting (and supporting Ukrainian Armed Forces in any possible way), rejecting any surrender or concessions. As a certain TV-series put it brilliantly - "This is the way". To follow Oleg: instagram.com/olegcarbo

Wow USA, this one must hurt!!! “We do not want to be rich like Americans. Look how greedy they are, even trying to invade their friends. We would not sell ourselves. We know what happened to Indigenous people in Alaska and Native Americans. Their land was taken, and they were not treated well.” — Greenlandic politician Tillie Martinussen That is not a throwaway jab, it is a full moral indictment. It flips the usual American self image on its head: wealth is not automatically admired, and power is not automatically respected. When someone says they would rather stay themselves than become “rich like Americans,” they are basically saying the brand is broken, and the history is part of the reason. The message of Trump’s letter to the prime minister of Norway signals that the president “genuinely lives in a different reality, one in which neither grammar nor history nor the normal rules of human interaction now affect him,” @anneapplebaum argues. theatln.tc/P354UMw6

@Mr_Mooshhhh @larsloekke He’s a pathological liar, he’s also insane and capable of anything. At this point, we’ve learned with this guy that the last thing you should do is assume he’s bluffing. He’s capable of anything. If he’s going to threaten war, take him at his word.

1/2 The President’s statement comes as a surprise. Earlier this week, we had a constructive meeting with Vice President Vance and Secretary Rubio. The purpose of the increased military presence in Greenland, to which the President refers, is to enhance security in the Arctic.

1/ 30 years ago, Russian law enforcement agents started wearing masks to carry out their duties. It soon became a standard tactic to intimidate and extort those seen as opponents of the regime, and became known in Russian as a 'mask show'. ⬇️

The Red Cross is one of the most vile organizations on the planet. They never said a damn clear word about Russia's attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure for years, but when Ukraine punches back at last, out of a need to stop the Russian war machine, then the holy mother Red Cross decides to issue a statement condemning "both sides." Please do not give money to this sh*thole org.
ICRC@ICRC

Recent strikes on critical infrastructure in Ukraine and Russia have left millions of people with little or no electricity, water, and heating amid freezing temperatures in Kyiv, Dnipro, Donetsk, Belgorod, and other areas. "Attacks causing disproportionate harm to civilians, including by depriving their access to essential services such as electricity and heating that are essential for survival right now, are prohibited.” Ariane Bauer, ICRC regional director for Europe and Central Asia, shares more.
