Apologies for long post. I’ve learned that I have a voice and would like to use it to share my experience for whoever may benefit. College gymnastics can be a wonderful and rewarding experience, but we must hold coaches accountable and push for a positive change in our sport.

@LandLover98 @Gymnastics_Now The instructions were by only Amy, not trainers. I put in the work and did the extra workouts on multiple occasions. When the “out of shape” remarks were made I was (shockingly) not out of shape. At most I was just not Amy’s ideal skin and bones build, nor should I have been.

@Gymnastics_Now Didn’t follow coaching/training staff instructions to work w/an assistant coach to get back in shape after injury. Instead she developed an Eating Disorder, Depression & Anxiety because she was still out of shape & now blames her coaches for that. Asking for a friend.

#NCAAgym news: Michigan State senior Tori Loomis pens an open letter addressing her experience at Utah State under Amy Smith, who is now the head coach at Clemson. Smith has been the subject of multiple abuse allegations, but to date, Clemson has not addressed the situation.

@TimurK1813025 @Gymnastics_Now I’m yelling “abuse” because I was abused to the point of near suicide; not due to being told to do a sit-up or eat a salad. Thank you for sharing your opinion on this subject.
