@wealary_V2 With the current system you should never swap when you’re autofilled. In almost every case your odds of either gaining 0 LP or double LP are much higher than if you swap roles and then have to win just to avoid losing LP

@Andysilva100 @drewlevin As far as I understood the system if ur not toxic but also never interact with the chat at all, ur stuck at 4, but when u actually write something, u will get 5. And the system is since the update more inclined to look at recent events so if u play less it automatically drops.

hello @drewlevin i have asked a rioter about this before but is there a bug to get stuck at Honor 4? Ever since the new Honor system came out i have been honor 4 and haven't gotten honor 5 and before then i was perma honor 5 cause i rarely talk except to say ggs. Thank u!

I'm not sure if Riot is actually intending to stop toxicity on League. Shouldn't both chat and ping restriction be tied to playing a certain number of normal games? Them being tied to IRL-days makes no sense whatsoever; giga toxic people are the ones playing on alt accs.

So now the most toxic people will have chat and pings restricted, but they will still be able to queue ranked games. Meaning that IN A TEAM GAME, there will be teammates who cannot communicate at all.

I never understood this take. Simple champs will be easier to execute on, therefor for the majority of players they will be better, it’s not rocket science Garen is hardly overperforming in the ranks where people actually start having some level of skill

@vfl_svenson @ExcaIiburrito And that’s also exactly why, if easy champs consistently have terrible winrates, it usually means they’re simply too weak baseline wise. Because at that point, even if you bring strong macro, matchup knowledge, etc... you still can’t convert it into wins.

If you’re playing a simple champ, you actually have to lean even harder into those fundamentals to stay ahead of more mechanical picks that has for the most part always been true.

@ExcaIiburrito This is always funny to me cause expecting easy champs to be bad makes no sense when they’re meant to be strong entry level picks with low skill ceilings. If they don´t sit above 50% WR, while harder skill expressive champs on average sit below then where is the point.🤷‍♂️

[Ranked Updates] 1. Rolling out an improvement to Matchmaking in EUW Within the next 24 hours, we plan to roll out an improvement to Matchmaking that we need to pilot in a large region. We are targeting EUW, late afternoon PST (in about 5-6 hours). The update intends to better balance autofills vs autofills & secondaries vs secondaries, etc. Will let folks know if we get delayed for any reason later today. We want games to be more fair & competitive and not feel like they were decided because there was a large off-role imbalance. As with any large Matchmaking change, we need your help to immediately diagnose and triage any issues, I will be putting up a thread to comment on any odd game results as they start to come in. This will impact all ranks, but will have a significantly larger effect in Apex ranks (autofills happen very rarely in regular play) If it goes well, we will start the process of rolling out to more regions. 2. Resolving Master+ LP Gains We're actively looking into a mitigation to resolve the bad LP gains in Challenger, nothing to share back yet, but mainly weighing our options. This change would get everyone back closer to +-20LP in wins/losses, rather than +10/-30LP that a few people are experiencing currently (about 30% of Challengers) It was the result of a hard to find 3rd order consequence bug, which we've resolved. 3. Reports of <10 LP Gains This should only be impacting Master+ players Looked into the reports of <10 LP gains, eg. +9LP gains (which shouldn't be possible) and the player did end up getting +10LP for the game. After looking at the frame by frame behavior in the client, there is a number that ticks up to improve satisfaction, but currently it ticks a bit too slowly, so a player can transition out of the screen before it has fully rendered the final result. (you can see this in the video I've linked) We are looking to both resolve this issue and the core issue causing the negative gains in the first place 4. Demotions Last year we made some changes to how Tier demotions worked (eg. Silver 4 -> Bronze 1). It is possible to demote to 50LP, 25LP if your MMR is low enough relative to your Rank. We fixed some edge cases that were preventing that from being true and so if you have a surprisingly large LP demotion, this is why
