It needs no emphasis that there is infrastructure, facility and equipment deficit in our hospitals, which is squarely and rightly blamable on government.
There’s also an ethical deficit and you can decide to say it’s a product of the same systemic problems or individual attitudes. Yet silencing those who raise the ethical questions because of the infrastructure and equipment deficits, I can no longer accept.
We must be capable of holding two truths as one.

Okaikwei Central MP, Patrick Yaw Boamah, is one of the first legislators to arrive in Parliament, ahead of the resumption of sitting in the House later today.

Fellow Ghanaians, the critical question at this point is whether the opposition the NPP can offer us is simply about rallying support for their unruly henchmen who insult and attack your men of God like Duncan Williams, who threaten to kill your president and maim his wife, who are so morally depraved that you cannot ask your own children to look up to them?
As yourself if the NPP looks like an alternative government to you.

This morning, our team of hard-working Prosecutors closed the prosecution’s case in The Republic v Solomon Asamoah & Another (a.k.a. the “Sky Train” case). The case involves the former CEO and the former Board Chairman of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF). They are standing trial for paying out US$ 2 million to a foreign company without board and other requisite approvals.
The money cannot be found.
The Accused Persons asked the Court for an opportunity to make a submission of no case. The Court gave them up to June 8 to file their submission. If the submission makes sense to the Judge, the Accused Persons will be acquitted and discharged. If it doesn’t make sense, the Judge will ask the Accused Persons to explain why they should not be sent to jail.
