WHERE IS CROW? 🐦‍⬛ I know y'all have a lot of questions about my absence—Did Crow run away? What's gonna happen to the collection? Did we get scammed? Or at least, where the hell is he? From the bottom of my heart, I'm sorry to my fam, friends, and legendary supporters for all the confusion over the past month 🙏. The truth is, I got into a big mess with crypto 😔. --- 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗗? 🐦‍⬛ On the night of December 31st, I found out that a huge chunk of money had disappeared from my bank account. Naturally, I panicked and started checking my bank statements and SMS alerts. That’s when I found a message from my bank saying they had held the amount due to some issue and that I should visit the bank for details. Since the next day was New Year’s, I had to wait until January 2nd to visit the bank, hoping it was just a minor issue. But when I got there, I found out that my account had been frozen by request of the Cybercrime Department—not once, but twice. The first lien was so small that I hadn't even noticed it back on December 18th. Yeah… my account was flagged almost two weeks earlier, and I had no clue 😔. I had no idea what was happening or why this was happening to me, so I asked the bank staff for details. They told me I needed to write a formal request for information and that they would only lift the freeze if Cybercrime sent them an official mail to clear me. I wrote the letter, but at this point, I was already drowning in anxiety and stress. Back home, I started searching online for answers, and that’s when I realized—I wasn’t alone. This was actually a very common problem for crypto traders in my country, since crypto isn’t fully legal and the laws around it are still a mess. --- 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡? Since I earn my money in crypto, I obviously can’t just use it directly for daily expenses. So, like many others, I used platforms like KuCoin to exchange crypto for my national currency. But here's the problem—these platforms don’t directly convert crypto to cash. Instead, they act as a middleman, connecting two users: 1. One who needs crypto 2. One who needs cash The danger? You have zero idea if the money you're receiving is clean or linked to a scam. Scammers often steal money, then convert it into crypto because it’s harder to trace. When Cybercrime investigates fraud cases, the innocent people who received these funds get caught in the mess. That’s exactly what happened to me 😞—and even worse, I had also given some of that money to my family members, so their bank accounts got frozen too. --- 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗡𝗦 At this point, I understood what happened, but solving it was a whole other battle. Every YouTuber and article I found said the same thing: "Tighten your belt—this is gonna take a long time. Banks and Cybercrime won’t help unless you push them hard." And yeah, they were right. Just getting basic details took days. But after constant follow-ups, I finally got the Cybercrime notices. And that’s when I saw it—one of the cases was from Karnataka… 1,800+ km away from my place 🐦‍⬛. Now I had to prepare everything, because I couldn’t afford to visit Karnataka multiple times. I gathered all the necessary documents and evidence and rewatched those YouTube videos to make sure I was fully prepared. --- 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗥𝗨𝗚𝗚𝗟𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗖𝗬𝗕𝗘𝗥𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗗𝗘𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 Explaining my situation to Cybercrime officers was a crazy experience. They barely understood what NFTs were or what I actually do 😅. But after a lot of effort, I managed to convince them that I was innocent. The Department of the second case, which was 3-4 hours away, required multiple visits, but it was less stressful than I expected. The officers actually listened to me carefully, and now they even know what NFTs are ✌️. Eventually, both Cybercrime departments sent emails to my bank, confirming that I wasn’t guilty and that the lien should be removed. 1/2
