@20th_Centurygal Bumbed into Tom Petersen, Cheap Trick's bass player, at the Virgin Mega Store one Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood (with his daughter I think) many years ago. He was super cool and graciously chatted with me for a few minutes

Have you ever met a rockstar out and about in the real world, not at a meet & greet?

@RaptorRiver59 @20th_Centurygal I'm no Bruce Springsteen fan, but I can think of fewer greater personifications of Americana than that guy. This notion that someone is not American because you disagree with political views is ridiculous

@20th_Centurygal Dee Snyder is from my town so we used to see him often. Also Bruce back when he was still an American.

My morning album with ☕️ The Stone Roses: The Stone Roses (1989) Is this a top 10 album of the 80s? 🤔 (recommended for my 80 albums of the 80s by @Chris2617ru)

@totalrockfiend @Mikehomeseller To me the last 2 albums with Hackett are closer to the Gabriel era than the Collins era. The big cutinto a different band was after Wind and Wuthering.

@Mikehomeseller Fave album is Vs, song is Corduroy. They caught my attention when I was up late on a Friday night watching Headbanger's Ball in September '91, and they debuted the video for Alive

Which Led Zeppelin track first hooked you on the band (e.g., “Stairway to Heaven,” “Whole Lotta Love,” “Immigrant Song,” or a deep cut)? #mikesquestions #LedZeppelin

@Mikehomeseller Tough to say. Definitely remember Fool In The Rain being my fave as a kid. But when the box set came out and Traveling Riverside Blues started playing on the radio, I was blown away

@Mikehomeseller The Drop Dead Legs riff. Not sure what came first, the words of the music, but it's the perfect fit for Diamond Dave's sleazy strut

@GenTXer2 No. But props for good hair. Way better grooming than all those long-haired '70s hippie bands.

@drdrew @BrandonStraka Trump mocking an NYT reporter with a disability was not debunked. If that's genuinely the basis of this guy's dramatic reversal, he's an idiot or totally disengenuine

Brandon voted for Obama twice. After Trump won, @BrandonStraka was so outraged that he called out sick to work for days. But after watching a video debunking the media's claim that Trump mocked a reporter's disability, Straka realized he was being deceived — and switched sides.

@GenTXer2 @AlphenMatthias Luv it! The best tunes are pure magic. But too many horn driven songs. Pair it down to the rockers, and it would be an all time classic. Also, as good as it is, it's not as good as the Sex Pistols Never Mind the Bollocks

My morning album with ☕️ The Clash: London Calling (1980) In contention for #1 for my 80 albums of the 80s (note: going by US release date 01/80) Ranked #16 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time. (recommended from my Beatles-hating friend @AlphenMatthias)
