🇮🇩 #Indonesia: Major anti-government protests have erupted this week in Indonesia, with hundreds of students and workers marching through Jakarta demanding higher wages, lower taxes, and fairer economic conditions.
What began as a largely organised labour and student-led movement quickly escalated today after security forces responded with extreme force. Witnesses report rubber bullets fired at point-blank range and widespread beatings, while videos circulating online show a police vehicle driving directly into crowds of protesters.
