Tony Godden 1955-2026. Sad news that the former Dragons goalkeeper recently passed away. He played 42 games during the club's 1st season in the Premier Division of the Isthmian League. His debut came in the 3-0 home win over Staines Town in front of a crowd of 673. RIP TONY.

13 March 2010 - E.C.L. Premier Division v Wisbech Town (away) lost 2-5. 1 of 32 defeats in 38 games as The Dragons finish bottom of the table. Defender Tom Cutts (pictured) & striker Wale Odedoyin the goal scorers. Tom's only goal of the season; Wale scored 5 times.

4 March 2003 - Isthmian Lge. Div. 1 North v Harlow Town (home) lost 1-3. 1 of 26 league defeats as The Dragons finish a disappointing 4th bottom of the table. Defender Martin Calver (pictured) nets his 3rd of 4 goals in 40 appearances this campaign - his only 1 with the club.

2 March 2002 - Isthmian League Division 2 v Berkhamsted Town (home) lost 1-4. The heaviest defeat under the new regime of Steve Pitt since his mid-season return to the club. Striker Matt Carmichael (pictured) nets his 8th goal since signing in December.

1 March 2025 - E.C.L. Division 1 North v Haverhill Rovers (home) lost 0-1. The league leaders win with a 1st half penalty. Wivenhoe sit 2 places & 9 points above the drop zone. A fine performance by 'keeper Gabe Ruth Pateman, making his 19th appearance of the season. Gate - 95.

1 February 1997 - Isthmian League Division 2 v Tilbury (away) won 4-2. 1 of 10 away wins this campaign. Striker Alan Day scored twice with Lee Abrehart (pictured) & Lee Neale getting the others. Full-back Abes scored 3 times in 43 appearances in his 1st season at Broad Lane

14 January 1995 - Isthmian Lge. Division 1 v Barking (home) won 2-1. Only a 3rd league home win in 13 starts. Player/Manager Steve Dowman (pictured) gets his 2nd of 3 goals since taking over as boss, with Mark Hewitson scoring his 5th since joining from Brantham in October 1994.

28 December 1992 - Isthmian Premier Division v Hayes (home) won 3-1. 3-0 up at the break with a Phil Coleman brace & a goal from striker Robbie Reinelt (pictured). Robbie's 10th of 12 goals in 27 appearances. Simon Gray & Christian McClean keeping their places in the side.

26 December 2022 - E.C.L. Div. 1 South v Stanway Pegasus (home) drew 4-4. 3 down after 10 mins 2nd bottom Wivenhoe hold 2nd top Peg. in a great game. A brace for George Hart (pictured) & goals for Jaan Stanley on his return & Mike Fitzgibbon. Debuts for Dan Rogers & Oliver Judge

20 December 1997 - Isthmian League Division 2 v Leighton Town (home) won 3-1. New boss Colin Hill's 2nd home game in charge sees a crowd of 165 witness goals from Jason Clewley and new signings David Rainford & Danny Roberts (pictured) that win the game.

18 December 1990 - Isthmian Lge. Cup v Dulwich Hamlet (away) won 1-0. A 3rd win in this competition thanks to a 1st goal for the club from new signing, striker Bobby Mayes who joined from Bury Town. Bobby made 32 appearances, scoring 10 goals. He was sold to Dagenham & Redbridge.

13 December 1986 Isth Lge. Div. 2 North v Letchworth Garden City (home) lost 1-2. The visitors do a quick double over The Dragons having won 3-0 last month. Tony Green gets 1 of his 5 goals this season in 29 appearances. Harry Welsh & Bob Duffett in temporary charge of the team.

7 December 1999 - Isthmian Lge. Division 1 v Wingate & Finchley (away) won 1-0. Centre-half Gary Hudson (pictured) with the only goal as The Dragons record a 4th consecutive win. Huddy made 37 appearances scoring 8 times. His total club stats were 20 goals in 124 games. Legend.

2 December 1989 - FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round v VS Rugby (away) drew 1-1. The Dragons were at the peak of their powers, holding Rugby to a draw thanks to a Lil Fuccillo penalty - 1 of 12 he scored in 56 appearances this Championship winning season in Division One.

29 November 2003 - Isthmian League Division 1 v Harlow Town (home) drew 1-1. 4 games unbeaten, Steve Pitt's Dragons are held by 'arlow with defender Ross Taylor (front row, 3rd left) scoring his 6th of 7 goals this season in 44 appearances this campaign. Gate - 111.

28 November 1984 - Harwich Charity Cup Round 1 v Brightlingsea United (home) won 4-3. A narrow local derby win after being 4-1 up. Mitchell Springett scores 2, including a penalty, with Chris Dines (pictured) & Clayton Wright completing the scoring.

26 November 2005 - Southern League East Division v Enfield (home) drew 2-2. 1 of 9 league draws this season. Jerome Boyce & Simon Thomas (pictured) the scorers. Simon's 3rd of 12 this season in 33 appearances; Jerome's only goal for the club in 15 appearances. Gate = 102.

18 November 2022 - E.C.L. Division 1 South v May & Baker (away) won 2-1. Debut for Tyler Shillingford. Striker Callum McGlinchey (pictured) nets a brace (making it 6 so far this season) with 2 long range shots in the 2nd half - the winner in the last minute of the game. Gate - 43

11 November 1995 - Isthmian League Division 2 v Cheshunt (home) won 4-0. Only 1 loss in 7 home games so far. A crowd of 201 sees John Kemp (pictured) get a brace with Lee Neale & Andy McDonald completing the scoring for Steve Dowman's side. John scored 19 goals in 47 appearances.
