@AlecLace I was in my seventh grade social studies class watching it live on a rolled in TV. It was shocking. Last nights launch made me very nervous.

🚨 The main reason millions of schoolkids watched the Challenger disaster live is because Christa McAuliffe was the first teacher in space. NASA set up special satellite feeds, schools across the country rolled in TVs It wasn’t “almost no one” it was a huge deal in classrooms

@Matt_Pinner Absolutely! I have taught my kids to always clean up for themselves, and if others left a mess be a good citizen and just clean that up too!

@Matt_Pinner As a child of the 80s this is absolutely true. I was walking around our town in the first grade. Biking all over in second. And always outside with the neighbor kids. I really don’t ever playing indoors.
