AWS still has no hard spending cap, and I think that costs them more new users than any missing feature in their service catalog 🤷‍♂️ Last week people opened their console and saw a bill of 75 billion dollars, you know the story...

Good enough for me. Not good enough to promise a beginner they can't get hurt.

That Budget Actions plus Deny-All SCP combo is genuinely neat, and I'd set it up on every new account. So why isn't that the end of it? Because budgets don't evaluate in real time. You always react after some money is already spent.

It's a narrow first condition, source IP type only BUT the direction is clear to me: NLB is slowly catchung up to the rule-based routing ALB has had basically forever. No extra charges btw. 🙌

What stands out to me is the bigger picture: with how far cloud-native has come, you often don't need a third-party email platform at all anymore. You can run the whole thing yourself on SES and cut a real chunk of cost. The new plans make that path easier to reason about.
