Seeing as how losing in OT in the AFC Championship Game is the WORST outcome of the last 7 years for this team I have no idea how you’re making a comparison to Mike Tomlin, the Steelers, and/or “losing in the first round.” What are we doing here? What’s two steps forward for you, Super Bowl wins every single year by 50 points? I don’t understand in what scenario a team that just accomplished what they did has room for one step backward and two steps forward. Those kind of expectations are frankly absurd to put on the front office or the team.

@bomani_jones Without getting into his merits, isn't the point of counterculture to move the culture closer to where you think it should be? Demanding a seat at the table is part and parcel of that goal. It's less "accept me" and more "accept that the world has changed while you stood still".

@ThisGuy1282V2 @geoffschwartz Taylor doesn't jump; he anticipates the snap count, like many of the best tackles do (e.g., Lane Johnson). Most calls against him are because he moves so much sooner than the rest of the line (but at the same time the ball moves). Can't do that if you can't hear the snap count!

@geoffschwartz I was super impressed with Jawaan Taylor. Led the league in penalties and accused of jumping early all year and not one false start in a loud hostile environment.

Going thru the Chiefs offense film now but something I noticed early in the game. And these little details are important imo. When it was loudest Mahomes would dummy count, walk to the line and ID a defensive player (even tho some of those points were dummy IDs in the run game)... The RB would follow him to listen even if it was a run. This is important because most often we see a RB care about the ID in pass protection. So doing this every play doesn't give the Bills defense a run/pass read.

@mgs__87 @KSeaboldt Allen is different alright. Much better at turning over the football, for instance. Patrick did his best Josh Allen impersonation over a 7 second span, but otherwise the 2 guys are miles apart.

An absolute organizational embarrassment for the Chiefs today, one that cannot be overstated. I don’t care what Andy Reid or anyone else has to say after the game; words are meaningless at this point. This game pounds out in ALL CAPS that significant change must come in the offseason and not just to the roster. A complete overhaul of the WR position is, at this point, not even worthy of discussion. Rashee Rice has a job. The rest can find new homes. Rebuilding this position is EASILY their top priority and Brett Veach has to hit at least one home run here while trying to figure out why this season went the way it did and what his role was in that. There isn’t a single coach on the offensive side who can make a compelling case that they should be back and that includes Matt Nagy. Regardless of talent, this has consistently been one of the most disorganized offenses in the NFL. I understood why this was happening in 2012 when Brady Quinn was throwing to Jonathan Baldwin and Terrence Copper. But Nagy’s offense has done what I thought could never be done. It has turned the best player in football into an anxious, jittery, and hesitant player unsure of what’s going to happen every single time he takes the snap. Lastly, Andy Reid has to look in the mirror and figure out why his team got away from him this season. Because they did. Every week it has seemed as if the other team came with more fire. That is inexcusable. They’ll still probably win the AFC West. They’ll play a home game in the playoffs. Hell, they might even win one though there is NO reason to believe they’ll win more than that. But this organization is at a crossroads. It MUST meet the moment.
