People think crocheting is a girl hobby but guys who crochet pick it up quickly and usually become really good. Last year, I made blankets for animal shelters. This year, I'm going to make hats for homeless veterans. It's a way to focus your mind and do something nice for others.

Drivers in Vegas speed through red lights ...full red lights, not yellow. More than half the time I'm at a red light at night, a car next to me will hit the gas and fly through. I've never seen anything like it and people who don't live here never believe me when I tell them how bad it is.

Here is the problem. At least in Vegas, if you immediately move when the light turns green, there is about a 50% chance some asshat running a red light is going to slam into you. So, if you see me sitting for a second or two at a green, you'll know why.

@allie__voss I was born in 1965. I still have the soccer ball my dad gave me in 1971. In the '70's and '80's, I played soccer and softball. I won gymnastics trophies. I played street hockey and wall ball with the neighborhood kids. Sports was my life.

@DerrickEvans4WV I live in Vegas. Drivers run full red lights constantly. Locals know to pause for as long as it takes. Too many people have been T-boned to death.

I get so annoyed by people who just sit there when the light turns green. Sit there for 3-4 seconds then instead of giving it gas, just let off the break and barely move for the next 100 feet. When the light turns green….. GO

So many people let her down.

@newstart_2024 Women should also look for the same qualities in men. And, friends should look for the same qualities in friends. And, parents should raise their children to be this way. It's not strictly a man/woman issue. It's kindness vs. narcissism.

Not once in the entire piece did she consider that the common denominator might be her. After the fifth rejection, wouldn’t most people start to wonder? Apparently not. She was still single. It’s a raw reminder that character — especially how someone treats those who can’t benefit them — reveals far more than surface-level attraction.
