Stand with @saikatc against the war lobby! #CA11

BREAKING: @ryangrim just confirmed that the Israel lobby is secretly funneling money into Connie Chan's campaign. We have the breakdown: 1. AIPAC-aligned groups (United Democracy Project, Democratic Majority for Israel, and Kimbark Foundation) donated >$750,000 to EDW Action Fund in mid-April. 2. EDW created a new affiliated PAC, Pro-Choice Majority Action, on May 1st, timed specifically so its first required FEC disclosure falls weeks after the California primary elections. Because Pro-Choice Majority Action is listed as affiliated with EDW Action, the PACs can transfer unlimited sums between themselves. 3. The new PAC, Pro-Choice Majority Action, has spent heavily on the following candidates since receiving their Israel lobby cash infusion: 🔎 Connie Chan in #CA11: $475,000 🔎 Melissa Hernandez in #CA14: $200,000 🔎 Jasmeet Bains in #CA22: $100,000

AIPAC complaining of “A level of scrutiny not applied to any other group of citizens.” Let’s be precise: No other interest group — not crypto, not AI, not big oil, etc — hides its money in shell PACs. They all spend through PACs that are transparently linked their interest group. AIPAC and its major donors are alone in the opposite practice. So that is why reporters have to investigate it so that voters can know who they are backing. The other option would be to just be honest and transparent from the jump. Why not do that? According to AIPAC, “Being pro-Israel is good policy and good politics.” Their offshoot DMFI even claims there is a “Democratic majority for Israel.” If that is true, spend money openly, endorse candidates openly, and let voters decide. If you refuse to do that, we will keep following the money and letting people know who you support. If it’s true that being pro-Israel is good politics, we’re doing you a favor!
AIPAC 🇺🇸🇮🇱@AIPAC

Part of an orchestrated campaign to single out and demonize individual pro-Israel Americans for supporting candidates of their choice. A level of scrutiny not applied to any other group of citizens. And it’s tolerated and celebrated by “leaders” who claim to want a big tent.

The genocide in Gaza has not ended. Netanyahu and Trump have no intention of honoring a ceasefire or ensuring the self-determination of Palestinians. Netanyahu's government continues to displace and murder Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank, while bombing Lebanon and dragging the U.S. into an endless war in Iran. Congress can and must act. We must pass Rep Tlaib's and my War Powers Resolution, pass my Block the Bombs Act, and conduct oversight over Trump's so-called Board of Peace to save lives and hold Netanyahu and Trump accountable.

This is one thing missed. If Espaillat had shifted on Israel at all I think this challenge would have been much harder. But the dude is still gladly endorsed by AIPAC and supports unlimited money to Israel in an extremely progressive district.
Jason Beeferman@JasonBeeferman

NEW: The @NYWFP decided not to endorse @EspaillatNY over his record on Israel, specifically his reluctance to support the Block the Bombs Act. @ZohranKMamdani endorsed his challenger @DarializaforNY last night. "I think Espaillat missed the moment," one person said.

thing is there is no “tensions” over Israel among Dems, the tension is largely between party leadership/donors vs voters. 77% of Dems think Israel is committing genocide in Gaza vs 11% who say theyre not. Sympathies are 60% Palestinians v 15% Israelis. It’s a 80-20 issue at best

NEW in the New York Times When @HaleyStevens was asked what meant that she had accepted campaign contributions from donors to AIPAC, the pro-Israel lobbying group, “she spoke 160 words without coming remotely close to answering the question.”

I received this in the mail today. Not to my P.O. box, but to my home address. Over the past month I have been doxxed & called an antisemite because I said that states don’t have rights, people do. This is what happens when candidates oppose genocide. #nhpolitics #NH01

New: Flotilla organizers say "The Torture Boat" (where many of IDF soldiers' most severe abuses against humanitarians allegedly took place) was *US-built & funded ship.* Alleged abuses include beatings, sexual assault, tasing. Stun grenades & projectiles also allegedly US-made.
