@MichaelPatak TopstepX API user here. A misconfiguration of my platform caused me to trade a GC contract instead of a MGC contract last week. My XFA survived due to DLL.

🤔 No brainer- Get a DLL that fits your trading style AND never lose your account day 1 ever again. Extend the life of the account, get double payouts and get lowest price.… oh and pro traders don’t yolo. They DLL! Live to trade another day.

The traders who tend to make the most money trading are the ones who don’t need the money. Not the ones who HAVE money.. the ones who don’t NEED it. You can be broke with zero desire for money or materialism. The ones who succeed, have the desire for FREEDOM. In turn, it produces a much better trader.

Moved live the day before a 45K payout... It is what it is but I still haven’t received the first 45K payout so is that forfeited too even though it was approved and withdrawn from my accounts?

I blew up more than one account. Not because I couldn't find setups. I could find them fine. I could even build a profitable backtest. My problem was me. I revenge traded. I moved stops. I sized up when I shouldn't. I couldn't follow my own rules once real money was on the line. Good builder, hopeless executor. That gap is the whole origin story. The fix wasn't more discipline. I tried that for years and lost. The fix was taking myself out of the loop. Put the rules in code and let the bot execute them while I get on with something else. Some people conquer the psychology. I automated around mine. It's a completely different kind of hard.

@TheOneLanceB I switch off when the dude starts talking conspiracies, but if there is someone who can call price live more accurately than ICT, I'd like to see it. 🤷‍♂️

Here is why defining language is so important and why ICT doesn’t really do any of this. Most ICT concepts are vague to the point of being useless. -Do markets seek liquidity? Are they “pairing orders”? Well yea, but so? If you have a willing buyer and seller that agree on price, markets are the mechanism that matches that liquidity. So by definition, trading markets DO match liquidity and “seek” it. That’s literally what a market does - participants provide a “bid” or an “offer” at prices in hopes of finding transactions. ANY market is trying to find the right price for a transaction to occur. That’s what Amazon does, that’s what EBay does, that’s what NYSE CBOE and even Onlyfans does. By definition, all of these entities are markets that try to price stuff at an appropriate price for transactions to occur. But again… so??? What do we derive from that and is that of any value?? Literally nothing. -Offering fair value (retracement) Well again, what does this even mean? There is no such thing as true fair value and in markets, one measure of fair value is just the last transaction. I don’t think FVGs even have anything to do with a traditional definition of fair value which is stupid to begin with. So what does it mean? If we are talking, do sharp price moves in markets tend to retrace? Well sure. But that doesn’t mean anything. Random patterns show retracement. There is a 100% chance that every price pattern will retrace at some point. That doesn’t mean it has edge or predictability. In fact, most price action is total noise. A fair value gap is not a trading system, it’s just an observation about price behavior. Yes, price will always have some form of retracement. But when and how far matters. It would be like me saying the sun will rise. Well yea, ok? I agree that at some point each day the sun rises. So? The edge in trading has always been in specifying precisely when, where, and under what conditions those observations create positive expectancy. It would be the same as me arguing that price forms trendlines ala tori trades. Well yea, it does. Sure. But can one derive any edge from that? Maybe but the devil is in the details. The system and when / how to apply it is EVERYTHING in trading. And for me, it’s quite scary that with over 2m+ followers there’s an absolute dearth of real verified traders using these concepts. I’m not sure I know of ANY verified big-time traders using these outside of just the content game and funded trader programs.

Good Morning... Just a reminder, if a company markets to you payouts, you work the balance up to reach said payout, then to only rug pull you and deny the payout opportunity and label it as a reward repackaged as "Live"... Ditch em. That is fraud, its theft and blatant robbery. They want you to lose... stop enriching these thieves. Eventually there will be enough victims that come together and by class action, then they will payout in a different manner. More of you are learning how to trade and this makes the "demo-prop" model unsustainable. If they have to change the rules to prevent you from making a profit, there is no other definition of F.R.A.U.D. Stop wasting real money on these things, open a live broker account with a regulated broker and trade 1 single micro and do far better and starve these leeches.

@ForexIke Certainly, firms w/ more clarity around these issues will attract more goodwill. At the same time though, it's a good thing for the big players churning through 10,000's of dollars in accounts to learn how to manage a live account. BTW, does requesting payouts earlier help?

Move the trader to live the day AFTER payout, not the day BEFORE. I get it, I understand firms need to do what they need to do in order to stay in business, but moving a trader to live the day before payout is just a lil bit icky.. its not wrong... it's just ick.

Get over it already. We have long corrected those atrocities. Nobody alive today took part in that. But many brave men fought to end it including my 2x & 3x great grandfathers. Slavery has been around since the beginning of time, and it still exists in many parts of the world. America did something abt it, something that cost many men their lives. Happy 250!🇺🇸
