I say, “I made like $24,000 last month.” She finally looks up. “That’s cute.” I felt my soul leave my body. I ask her. She goes, “$86,000. Slow month.” SLOW? WHAT? I almost apologized to her for existing. I try to act cool. “Yeah, I mean.. market’s been weird.” She snorts. “No. They’ve been great, you’ve been weird.” Damn.. She checks my trades. Win Rate: 46%. Risk:Reward: 1:2 She goes, “You could do a lot better. But at least you’re making money, I guess..” Then she breaks it down: “Risk 1–2% per trade. Not 6%, you psycho.” “Go for at least 1:4 Risk:Reward. Not your sad 1:2.” “3 trades a day max, got it?” Every sentence felt like a slap. I felt like I’m the woman. I ask her account size. She says, “I won’t share that with you, dude. You’re a random.” “Yo, give me your number. Maybe you can mentor me or something.” She laughs. Not cute. Violent. “No.” “Why not?” She shuts the laptop. “Because I don’t want to.” She stands up and leaves me there. My worst social interaction of all time.
