Half the year is done. So I finished backtesting my $NQ Magic Hour model. Jan–Jun 2026 - 235 trades. Results 📈 +124.7R 61.4% win rate -6R max drawdown The setup is simple: 2am, 5am, 6am and 7am NY hourly ranges. Price sweeps the range, closes back inside on the 5m chart, then I target the midpoint using a fixed 1.5R model. The monthly consistency in 2026 has been insane. $ES is next. A few tweaks to the algo this weekend uncovered something interesting...👀

My first-ever payout! I've blown a lot of evals and funded accounts. I kept searching for the "perfect" strategy, but eventually realized that everything comes down to risk management in trading. I still battle revenge trading and oversizing, but @Topstep's risk settings (DLL and position size limits) have helped me stay disciplined and in control. Still long way to go.

@traderisimo @kowa95pl Hay muchas variantes a estudiar tambien, ejemplo algo que pueden hacer es ver la probabilidad de llegar al nivel siguiente por debajo o por encima del 50% que es el mid, ejemplo 25% o 75%, normalmente si llega al 50% en muchos magichour hay sobre 80-90% de llegar al 75.

My typical SL on ORB and MH currently is like 38% of the range and TP is 50%. I feel like with ORB and MH the SL does not feel comfortable. I like my fixed 1.3R, but I will probably test 50% SL with 65% TP. This would mean: Magic Hours - SL moves from 38% ext to 50% ext - TP moves from MH.50 to MH.65 (7AM has good data on running beyond MH.50) ORB - SL moves from ORB.38 to ORB.50 - TP moves from 50% ext to 65% ext Small adjustment to move away a small part of hesitation due to too tight stops. Obviously will run tests on this.

@kowa95pl @JKBTrades_ I had 19 25k and 1 50k. With the 19 I took one max payout and I was ready for the 2nd. The 50k had two max payouts and was ready for the 3rd
