I’m kinda fed up with trading the New York session. Not because of the price action, but because of the timing. Sitting here thinking about my day and I honestly don’t like how late it is. NY opens at 3:30 PM for me here in Austria - right in the middle of the day when I’m already kinda drained. Gym in the morning, handling business, doing everything I need to do… and then trading comes last. And I’m starting to realize that might not be the best setup. As much as I like NY and understand it well, being done by lunch and having the rest of the day free sounds way better. Might be time for another switch.

The Tradovate update dropped early but yes, lockout is finally here. It currently only works on Tradovate Prop firms, it’s not enabled on live accounts. If you lockout for the day, it locks out all of your accounts at that propfirm. There will be updates coming

@MichaelPatak Yes, this would filter out the ones who burn accounts in a day or blow up their accumulated profits (combine/XFA) in a single day.

Should we add a DLL to TC and/or XFA ? Maybe it decreases the price a bit or increases or allows you to open up a bit. Any thoughts on this that we should consider?

@jadecap_ Best advices/content when you intend to make the transition from FX to futures?

I’ve made more trading futures in 1 year than I did in 10 years of trading forex. I should have made the switch sooner. When the ADR of an fx pair is 0.25-0.75%… NQ will move 0.50% in the first 30 minutes of the open. Unless there’s some serious global macro event impacting currencies, the volatility is mostly flat. Break out the pitchforks if you want, but as traders we need VOLATILITY.
