After living in Austin metro for the last 5 years, I can attest that this area of the country is AWESOME.
But two HUGE drawbacks:
The growth is CRAZY, which means that regions will get disrupted very quickly. Where you end up living might look completely different in 3 years.
And the summers are SUPER hot.
