The parallels of the Iran War with Covid feel uncanny. We watched it unfolding in another country (Italy) and felt sorry for them, as if it were a distant issue. Next thing, it was out of control, the world was in lockdown, and millions died. This time, there is no vaccine.

The U.S. is in a strategic catastrophe! The UAE, Kuwait, and Qatar, together with China, have begun negotiations with Iran, with China taking the lead. And Trump has announced that he is stepping aside. This means the dollar is screwed. China, as a mediator, will demand that the yuan become the currency for oil trade, and we can bury the dollar and declare a U.S. default in 15 years. )) It only seems like that’s far away.
