@PrimeVideo why on earth have you just let the interviewer give Tim Henmen the credit for @EmmaRaducanu’s #USOpen win?! It’s not due to him being courtside - it’s her talent! You should cut away from him when he is referring to them as GIRLS. It’s disgusting. #sexism

@trainerrosie@BBCNews@guardian@LivEchonews Luna was cancelled for business not public health reasons Rosie - possibly too close to the anticipated reopening of other cinemas it didn't sell enough tickets to be viable, unlike the other events that sold out quickly. Viability is an important outcome we are studying.
Pixie and I posted back our day 5 post event test for the #EventsResearchProgramme in our #Liverpool home: please return your’s even if you are a day or two late. More data makes better science, which makes stronger plans to restart the live events we love
@profbuchan I returned mine 🙂 and tested negative. Are the results picked up by cipha available to all? I’m wondering why the cinema event this weekend has been cancelled... does this mean people who had attended tested positive?
@elenasemino Is it possible to include it as some sort of optional activity? Provide multiple texts that allow students to engage equally (presumably looking at same type of feature/framework) but allow them to choose content of text? If using zoom, they can then break into different groups
Preparing my online teaching for next week and can't decide if to use texts related to Covid-19 for discussion (it would be relevant to the topic). It seems strange to ignore what's going on, but it could be distressing.
Colleagues & students out there: can you help me decide?
@KateMeeks4 I would recommend the scatter cushions - Terral rests his head on them and it’s very cute. Disney+ is excellent 😂 enjoying the awfulness/amazingness that is Hannah Montana
It’s strange that days can be filled with the same activities as normal but that everything is so much more exhausting at the moment 😴 finding myself regularly wishing I was a dog just for the naps! #Coronavirustruth
@KateMeeks4 ... he has throw cushions on his bed. Or rather, on one of his beds 😂 but don’t worry - his other bed has cushions too. He’s not normally allowed on our bed... but on this last Sunday I may have been feeling a bit rubbish and let him up to cuddle while I watched Disney films 😳
@LesleyAitken23 They are! It’s interesting to see the dogs’ techniques change over time... Ronnie, who we puppy walked, eventually learnt that he needed to lie facing a wall and make a v against it with his arms. He then used his nose to knock it around within that small triangle. Very clever!!
@trainerrosie I’ve not tried carrot in them before. New idea for tomorrow. One of my dogs figured straight away how to get the food out, the other took my h longer. They’re great things.
Terral’s learnt that if his wobbler reaches the corners or strays onto the laminate floor then he needs to pick it up and reset - it shows how these types of feeders exercise dogs’ problem solving skills! He’s had carrot in it today for a change 🙂 #StayHome#GuideDogsFamily
VD: Terral pushes his Kong wobbler and some carrot come out which he eats. He nudges it again and it moves from carpet onto laminate floor so he picks it up and returns it to the carpet. My husband is cooking in the background (they’re both well trained 🤣)
@AngieBeatDown@guidedogs Guide Dogs is currently in the process of producing some resources for Guide Dog Owners on how to tackle this during the lockdown, so bear with us. I think variation really helps... @Kika_GuideDog just asked about this so there may be some ideas there to steal!
Anyone else have a restless guide dog?
I've got him puzzle toys which he gets daily.
I work him for 30 mins a day and then lead walk him home.
I play with him and he gets free runs in the garden.
Is there anything else I can do? @guidedogs
Keeping a trainee Guide Dog entertained, who’s used to lots of mental & physical exercise = lots of imagination & interactive puzzles! Well done Clover! @guidedogs#Volunteer#Cardiff#GuideDogsCymru
Video shows black Labrador x retriever spinning a bone shaped puzzle 4 kibble
VD: I show two small toys to the camera and hide them in my living room. Terral comes in and heads straight to where one is hidden, sniffing around to find it. When he grabs it with his mouth, I give him lots of praise and exchange it for a treat. He sets off to find the next.
Terral and I have been playing some scent games! I’ve left these toys next to some catnip to make them super smelly and Terral has to use his nose to find them 🙂 this makes his brain work hard - if we play this game for 10 minutes, Terral needs a 2 hour nap to recover! #StayHome
