@AccordYeen I guess "forms" is the better term (I was quoting from the youtube video). It needs a chemical reaction in hot, carbonated water with certain minerals to form.

@transfurence Wait, asbestos grows? ...I'm suddenly realizing I don't actually know what asbestos is...

PSA if you use talcum baby powder in any of your making process (eg, to nullify the sticky side of tape patterns): STOP NOW. Asbestos often grows with Talc and it's very hard to purify. Manufacturers only just switched over to cornstarch in 2023.

If you've been using talc powder for a while; seal it in a plastic bag and store it! If you ever get mesothelioma or ovarian cancer you have a case/evidence against the bottle's company to sue! More info: youtube.com/watch?v=tpxzjG…

@DexterousZombie Slate Teal Fox from Fursuit Supplies or Teal from Big Z that's a smidge lighter.

Been struggling to find a fur that is a close match to this color. Anyone know of a fur with a good backing?

@DexterousZombie I'm not sure where mine's burred right now but I can tell yours looks like an entirely different fur color what the heck.

Anyone have a pic of their howlfabrics wintergreen lux? I bought some but it looks washed out. Wondering if I got a bad batch or if this fur really looks like this?

Faux fur with a high enough polyester content can be dyed with synthetic stovetop dyes! Original left, dyed right. You can see the texture has changed a little bit but not too bad. Very useful for hair!

@Slumberyote @Splinter_Fox Same! I pay like $50/year total for the domain itself and the domain forwarding package on carrd. I renew during Black Friday- they always have a deal on.

@Splinter_Fox I use Carrd it’s not like a great gallery website but you can still put your pricing and stuff!

Unfortunately, having a website and personal domain is starting to get out of the budget. I will be taking down SplinterFox.com soon and turning it into something more cost-effective. Suggestions are appreciated ❤️
