It’s going to be difficult in the coming weeks but I think clinicians should try hard to stay apolitical in the public sphere. We owe it to our patients.
I am shocked as to how an insurance company is allowed to “recoup” money (11 months LATER) from a claim that met medical criteria AND was authorized prior to the provided service. 11 months later! 😳😳 How is that legal? That is THEFT!!
32 physicians on the AMA RVU Update Committee advise Medicare on the "relative value" of healthcare services. Only 4 of them are women. OB/Gyn gets one vote. It's not a stretch to surmise that equitable valuation of women's health is not a top priority. ama-assn.org/about/rvs-upda…
