Bij de demo van @transzorgnu sprak ik een moeder die cupcakes uitdeelde. Haar kind was jarig en wilde dat vieren bij deze demonstratie. Natuurlijk ging ze dan mee! Wat was ik onder de indruk van deze liefde en onvoorwaardelijke support. 🏳️‍⚧️ En wat gun ik dit iedereen! ❤️

- This protest is legal and registered with the municipality, but there is always the chance that something can always go wrong. If there are problems then our lawyer and volunteers are ready to support people.

Important information! Saturday, 30 September, we will spend 17 hours together at the Geert Grooteplein, in front of the main entrance of Radboud Hospital. The protest has been registered with the municipality and we have a security team of volunteers. But we also need you!

Again: leave room for other reactions. Bringing transphobia to our space is an attack on our security and reacting strongly to it is legitimate. Don't act like protest police.

- There is always the chance that opponents will come to our demo. If that happens, we want to ask everyone who can do so to create a wall between opponents and people in our demo who might be more vulnerable. Our security team will take the initiative.

Do you see something going wrong? Have a conversation or ask our mediator for help. - Respect a diversity of tactics. Trans joy and trans anger both deserve a platform. Leave room for forms of protest that you might not choose yourself.

- Let's all be mindful of each other's boundaries. Do not take each other's photo without permission. Respect each other's personal space and do not touch others without consent. There is no room at our demonstration for racism, sexism, antisemitism, validism, fatphobia etc.

We do provide food on location but something can always go wrong. So make sure you have enough food to take care of yourself (and maybe share with your neighbours). - Please don't smoke in the demonstration area or near the hospital entrance, this can be very difficult to others

- Bring warm clothes and something to sit on (,chair, blanket, etc). Unfortunately, we are not allowed to bring tents. Bring enough food and also, most importantly, enough water. There is NO working water tap near the demo. So make sure you have plenty of water with you.

Therefore, please read this text carefully. - Covid still poses a risk. Before coming to the demo, please do a self-test and stay home if you test positive or have flu-like symptoms.

On Saturday we will livestream the protest (via Instagram @transzorgnu) between 9:00 AM-11:15 AM, 1:30 PM-3:00 PM and 6:45 PM-8:15 PM! Only the stage including the interpreter is visible. So we ensure that there are no demonstrators in the picture who do not want this.

Zaterdag zorgen we dat er een livestream is die (via instagram @transzorgnu) tussen 9:00-11:15, 13:30-15:00 en 18:45-20:15 online te bekijken is! Hierbij komt alleen het podium incl tolk in beeld. We zorgen dus dat er geen demonstranten in beeld zijn die dit niet willen.
