Another crazy part of unemployment is people suggesting jobs you’re not interested in and getting mad when you refuse to do them. “You can go and teach in a kindergarten for now…” And God forbid you want more than being a teacher. You’ll be termed ungrateful and lazy.

@TheKarlKolchak @AletaValiant @Rothmus My degree is in English, so reading quickly is not a challenge for me. I also have a Master's in Education where these sorts of longitudinal studies were essential for my Master's thesis. Demographic analysis is my wheelhouse.

@TheKarlKolchak @AletaValiant @Rothmus I'm quite adept at it. The methodology includes parallel cohorts and considers non oncological factors. Sex is strongly associated with spousal abandonment across cohorts. Several other studies corroborate this. It's true.

We have two papers that are contradictory to each other.
The one you cite says men leave their partner 8% more. Not 2x or 1.5X but 1.08X. The other study clears some of that small difference.
I'm offering to try to find a real number.

The one you did suggests an ~8% difference in a self reported study. That does not seem overly large. Want to do a work up on the data?

i’m a recruiter so i do a TON of phone interviews and something i’ve noticed about gen z specifically is that a lot of them answer the phone and don’t say anything. like i can hear their breathing and the background noise, but they wait for you to say hello first.
